When the beads don't work...

On the front page of today's newspaper^[1], there is an article about Dennis Mills, one of the organizers of the Rolling Stones' concert in Toronto.

Apparently, he has been praying using a rosary blessed by the Pope to ensure everything goes right.

But this is not a sure thing.

"Sometimes when the beads don't work I go and have myself a glass of Chardonnay or two," he is reported to have stated.

It's nice to know what the fallback position is for unanswered prayer.

Though I prefer my own drinking to be celebratory.
